Jun. 28th, 2025 11:12 pm
CHARACTER: Streth Evira
CLASS: Paladin LVL: 03
LVL PROGRESS: 50%
Day 12: Insect repellant 48, incense 10/10 (Streth 38)
NOTE: Azaka is a were tiger and is familiar with the Guardian of Orolunga
Our attention was directed at Azaka who revealed unusual features during combat.
Some of us began to clean our weapons, while others checked if the surroundings were clear of enemies, when Azaka explained that she wasn't fully human. Shago muttered something of a story he had heard, and said that he didn't think it would be true. The guide confirmed and confirmed that she is, indeed, a were tiger. Though she told us not to worry, for she isn't like the people in the stories that worship Malar, a deity of the hunt. They who hunt humans. Also known as the Beast Lord.
It sent a chill down my spine, but I experience not fear toward Azaka. Nothing has happened so far, she has revealed herself to be a reliable guide and fighter in combat. In return to keep it a secret, she offers to lower her price by quite the amount. Arden stepped in to arrange a deal that affects both guides. For daily payment, we now pay 4 gold for both Shago and Azaka, 1 gold for Azaka, 3 gold for Shago. Though in return, she urges us to head to Fire Finger as soon as possible.
I took this opportunity to tell the others about my dream and memory of the acolyte, to which Azaka took a defensive position and demanded to know what we want of the Guardian. She is familiar with this individual, and has personally came in contact. She can lead us there, she promised, but only if we behave. I was concerned that I might have shown something that caused her to doubt us, but she assured me that it wasn't me who she is concerned with.
It is a sacred place where she'd take us, any harm done to it will result harm on us by her weapon. We promised to behave, and not to challenge her in the slightest. I sure hope that Smuck was merely jesting about setting it aflame with an explosion. After we obtain Vorn, we have decided to head in this direction of the Guardian of Orolunga.
In the afternoon, we came across some Flailsnails, but we'd be severely outnumbered, and cannot afford a detour. We decided to press on until nightfall came and surprised us with a thick fog. It was then when we realized that ... We lost track of our position on the map ...
Day 13: Insect repellant 48 -> 47, incense 10/10 (Streth 37)
NOTE: We got lost until the evening
This morning the fog remained, we decided to explore the surroundings to find anything that looks familiar, but the fog was simply too thick for us to succeed. Our efforts have been lost, until we uncovered our location on the map by the setting of the sun. Unfortunately, we ended up heading in the wrong direction, we must head back toward Vorn.
Day 14: Insect repellant 47 -> 46, incense 10/10 (Streth 36)
NOTE: Our path resumed in the right direction
We resumed our path, heading south-west on the map at a steady pace with no encounters, but a group of Hadrosaurs that were calmly grazing. We decided not to disturb their peace, and resumed until we set camp in the late evening.
Day 15: Insect repellant 46 -> 45, incense 10/10 (Streth 35)
NOTE: We got lost, again
The morning surprised us once again with foggy weather, from our experience, we decided not to move, and instead wait for it to pass. By the afternoon the fog lifted, and rain fell from the skies. Unfortunately, that didn't help us from getting lost regardless. We hadn't managed to find out position back on the map by the evening, and set camp.
Day 16: Insect repellant 45 -> 44, incense 10/10 (Streth 34)
NOTE: No rainfall, resuming journey to Vorn, overwhelming battle against Velociraptors.
Day 17: Insect repellant 44 -> 43, incense 10/10 (Streth 33)
NOTE: A spell was needed to replenish our water supplies, Vorn's location found, following the tracks leading left from Vorn
In the morning, we resumed our journey until we approached the new surroundings that were covered in a strange blue mist. One that is magical in nature, the guides warned us not to approach it. It is unique to Chult, and it's known as "Mad Monkey (fever)".
