CHARACTER: Streth Evira
CLASS: Paladin  LVL: 03

A deadly monster blocked our path, known by its name "Assassin Vine" with a corpse near us to prove its deadliness. With no risks to afford, we accept the advice our expert guide gives us, and we backtrack our trail to safety. It was by our luck that no movement was noticed and that nothing went wrong. A mild rain accompanies us as we resume our travel toward our destination with the use of a different path.

Its humid air ever accompanying us, our damp clothing and hair. The thought of how Arden must feel with his fur only adds more burden onto my shoulders. It worsens with the day, I can tell. While my health still remains in good shape, I notice the lack of helpful rest, but it is only a minor complication in comparison to what the rest of the lands may face.

Distracted by my thoughts as I was, we were surprised when two large snakes (Jaculi) flew in our direction in an attempt to strike us. Immediately, we forced ourselves in position while our guide withdrew himself. While threatened by their size, with Taban's skill, even these pose a minor threat. It was a relief.

During the evening, we came past a statue of the Chultan King Ubtao. As I had read from a few books, an important figure. He is a patron Deity of Chult and ruled over Chult 1000 years ago. Yet, here bound in place by many vines. Arden's skillful eye had recognized a small inscription and eventually a warding glyph. However, the touch of the statue will result in a loud sound, Qawasha warned us as soon as he remembered. He had urged us to take distance not to draw the attention of wildlife.

Later on, we had found ourselves a good place for rest. What a relief ...

Day 338 > 37 Insect repellant. (Lasts for 24 hours) 6/6 Incense. (Lasts for 8 hours)
LOOT: Obtained Girallon fur and teeth. Obtained snake skin x2

By the rising of the sun, our path was lit for the next day of travel to come. Our journey resumed but it was not uneventful. Surprised, we were, to hear the sound of a large creature. Loud breathing. Our guide again had warned us of the enemy and the urge to avoid it. Why that was, became clearer by the next moments.

Girallons, he names them. An ape-like species with four arms and incredibly aggressive once its territory has been trespassed. Which happened to be the case when we carefully made our attempt to hurry to safety. Jasper had not only drawn its attention, but he absent mindedly walked into one of them. Immediately, each of us had their weapons drawn when the large gorilla made itself known through instinctive behavior.

Two of them are in total, a true threat and I had witnessed their strength, even if most of their hits had failed their connections. It is Helm who guided my blade this day, that much I can tell by the blessing. Our survival is also within Taban's skillful hands, who assisted us through the danger and aided, once again, our cause. We made it ... Relief spread, but it was soon taken by another large enemy.

A t-rex it is named. A large reptile we could see from the distance. And its distance worked in our favor when we hid away from its sight. Merging in the scent of the environment to mask ours. Holding our breath, not to have it witness our presence. A successful escape.

A gentle rain, while hot to the touch, greeted our evening, and so did another dinosaur. I could only see its back, but it appeared to be eating. The distress on Qawasha face and his hasty words reminded us, again, of the danger it may hold to us. I haven't seen creatures this large and neither in such quantity before. It appears that all I lie my eyes upon is enormous. Perhaps it are my senses taking me hostile. It is this heat, it is difficult to bear ...

We avoided distracting it from eating, and made it to safe grounds for the morning sun to rise ...

Day 4:  37 > 36 Insect repellant. (Lasts for 24 hours) 6/6 Incense. (Lasts for 8 hours)
LOOT: 8 Ghoul heads obtained (4/4 Gat/Streth)

Light rain introduced us to yet another day, along with steady footsteps in our camp's direction. All of us had hurried to get its traces removed, and hid from sight, however our attempts had failed when the cloaked people neared us.

They announced their presence and intention, and it was not to harm us. When the two revealed themselves to us, and recognized our guide, they confirmed that they are of the "Emerald Enclave" as the emblem on their cloak proudly present. It aligns with his group, and so did their passion for the destruction of undead.

A male elf by the name Naewarin Ahren, and a gnome lady, named Juniper Shadowtalker of the Emerald Enclave. They tell us that they traveled here from Port Nyanzaru.

This meeting is not only of surprise, but it is also a positive encounter. Our missions appears to align. It is to slaughter the undead, and after we had confirmed that none had yet come past our path, they insist on joining our forces as we head southern toward the infestation. Perhaps it is fate that connected our paths ...

Thank You for Your blessing these days, Helm. May our coming days be in our favor, and of that of the people.
