After my prayer to the recently deceased, I lost track of Hemlock who went where the bell was at, just like Kyndel when he escaped the battle. Most of the others were missing as well and hadn't said a word. Later, I learned that most of our companions had left to seek for the golden bell that had been robbed by some surviving wererats. It was a relief to see them return to us safely!

When we treated the unconscious Kyndel, we allowed ourselves some rest while the remaining dwarves continued partying when our attention was suddenly drawn by the scent of fire. We discovered that the troublesome boy had set the nearby woods on fire, simply to destroy the amulet that he was forcefully attuned to. The damage to the amulet was reflected on him and as soon as I got him back around, he fell unconscious again with a final request to deal the remaining damage to it. It wasn't easy, but together with Sidah, I managed to put an end to both the fire and the remains of the amulet. After that was over, we rested inside the mine, and the next morning, we decided to return to Phandalin, leaving Don-Jon with the surviving miners.

Once we got in reach, the guard captain requested us to wait outside, he intended to let a professional do a check on our companion, Sidah. Thanks to the lovely druid of Kryptgarden, they found out that the skull our poor Kobold was wearing is cursed and also tied to the amnesia that he has been suffering from. During their ritual, we caught the attention of the familiar dragon and became a target for his attack. Without the might to take him down, the dragon took a hold of the guard captain and flew to Phandalin, a place now covered in smoke.

We hurried to the town when we witnessed the merciless fires cornering the citizens and buildings, and squads of kobolds swiftly taking out the town's weaponry to fight their forces. Specifically, the dragon, himself. Our attempts to save the town have failed, we were simply outnumbered, unknowing of their plans. However, not all is in vain, we managed to save the guard captain who made a fall through a burning building and stopped the fire at a number of buildings to save the citizens.

Once the kobolds retreated after their job was done, all that was left was the dragon. During this, many of us got severely wounded, countless soldiers and citizens have died during the battle and now, after all that has happened, they still intend to aim an attack at the Icespire Hold. The dragon has retreated, for now. I fear for the worst, especially after most of us have been exposed to the frost breath. Are we in the position to fight a creature so intelligent and strong?
