Session #1 - Recap

istainion When I traveled to Phandalin for an eventful adventure, I wasn't disappointed. As soon as I entered, I encountered two interesting individuals. A fortune-teller and a performer, the reason why and we met was less exciting. The fortune-teller, known as William or Steven, with many more names to follow upon request, has stolen from the tiefling lady. As a witness of the runaway, the guards of Pandalin urged us to report to the guard captain where we met other, more gentle individuals.
The boy accused of stealing is urged to perform a mission in Gnomengarde or be sent to Neverwinter as a prisoner. The mission we are assigned demands a magic expert, and it matches the fire genasi. It also demanded an expert in the field of performance and disguise. I am given the responsibility to look after the boy and make sure he won't run from his duty, and the tiefling was also willing to help. Soon to be accompanied by a fine lady, Sister Yolantha and a small, curious Kobold she is guarding.
After a brief stop at the local inn for a meal, we learned more about our destination. We must be wary of spell casting in the regions Toblen Stonehill, the innkeeper warned us. Who knows what may come out when we use familiar spells of which output is changed.
When we made way to our destination, we suddenly encountered a white dragon which wouldn't let us pass and neither allow discussion. After it caught me and Sida in its frost breath, the others hid until the creature disappeared and retreated to a cave to treat us. When I came to my senses, I came to realize that my sacrifice was not in vain, but my wallet won't be as happy as I am now responsible for treating each of them to a free dinner. Hahah, oh well.
