CHARACTER: Streth Evira
CLASS: Paladin  LVL: 02

"We walked back past the GoldenThrone palace's bridges and made our path back to the Temple of Savras to have the priests help us with our objective. As soon as we have arrived, we met a group of citizens forming a circle around the entrance. They were seemingly distressed about something. Reasons they seem unwilling to share, at least not to me.

Upon entering the temple, we walked into a tense situation. Three cloaked people were at the altar to have an heated discussion with the head priest named Grandfather Zitembe. It was difficult to read the situation, but according to my team members, they are from the Zhentarim. A questionable organization that has their hands in many types of businesses, and usually not ones with the pleasant outcomes.

The acolytes could tell that Grandfather Zitembe is having uninvited visitors. Unwilling to mix in with the conversation too much, we proceeded with caution to listen in and read the situation better. Unfortunately, the whispering among the group has made this difficult and our presence was easily known. A name was mentioned, I believe, toward the person to the right. "Denzel"

Head priest Zitembe is an old man, but he revealed no fear, regardless of being taken by the collar. It was a relief when the stranger unhanded him when a few, additional whispers took place. They have made their turn toward us. Calling the man lucky for getting away with something, and they made their leave. We allowed them  this passage. With the threat gone we headed toward him for our cause and questions.

He seems to have expected us, he has said, such was told to him in a vision, as fate had wanted and written. Fascinated as we were, but perhaps not as enthusiastically as Gat was to get on his knees before the man, we introduced ourselves. We learned of this man that the three were also looking for information, but the evil in their hearts in relation to death has made him refuse their request. It is what caused the argument between them.

Head priest Zitembe is offering to help us with the death curse and willing to provide us advice through visions for each our questions, however, he demands time to meditate and make contact to the higher entity for answers. Our main objective has ties with the Soulmonger, and so I have asked about its location within Chult. This powerful man is willing to provide us more help the next day, at the same time of day, in the afternoon, where he shall answer our requests and return us the answer for the first question.

With our thanks, we bid our farewells, for the next day to come.

Then we left the temple of Salvras to make way toward the inn's for a job to earn money for our expenses and travel, but we were interrupted when a flying half dragon came our way. We met Harbormaster Zindar, who can be found south east of Port Nyanzaru, close to the harbors.

He asked us if we were a part of the battle against pirate kind upon arrival, and that we are, indeed. He is impressed with our hard work and has offered us an opportunity to fight alongside him for a good reward. We, however, have a mission of our own, that task seems much more time consuming from the sound of it. Thousands of gold, goodness ... I fear we may not have what it takes.

I have confessed our own mission, and he seems understanding. Zindar has offered us alternative methods to earn some gold from him. This by finding their base of operation, to capture one of their three ships (Dragonfang, Emerald Eye or The Stirge) and any of their three leaders. He will gladly pay for any information on them, and is willing to receive us at the harbor to the east of Port Nyanzaru as previously mentioned.

We thanked him for the offer, and resumed our path toward the inns. Once within reach, we found the noticeboard and took a closer glance at the jobs that are offered. Many would lead to the Jungle, to which we cannot yet go without the permit of travel. Some locations are fairly unclear, and may need clarification.

We have found three potential quests for ourselves to consider. One of them being a map of a certain location within Chult, Arden seems to have quite the experience with these, and this may work in our favor.

As for the other two, there seems to be a person that avoids a certain debt that is to be paid, whose location is unknown to us. We intend to visit "Kaya's House of Rest" for the map quest, and learn more of the specifics of that location, as well as more specific information about the missing children, that can be found in the old city, north of Port Nyanzaru.

A child tugged on my shoulder, a citizen of Chult who seems to make me aware of the missing children quest. I have indeed tried to make contact to the young child, but it seems like their common tongue is not as clear as I would have hoped for. Perhaps we can invest in a dictionary of some sort to guide us. With my confirmation, the child resumed its mission to find more capable seeming adventurer's to help. I am uncertain as of what the child tried to tell me.

Perhaps the people at the inn know more, we must make haste!"
